Discover local diving under the direct supervision of a certified teaching status PADI Proffessional. Our PADI Pro will ensure your diving trips maximise your safe enjoyment of the islands underwater world.

Boat & Shore Dives

Most dive trips are off-shore reef diving, reached by boat from a nearby beach. Shore diving can be done from Twin Rock, dependent on your certification and experience level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This will all depend on your certification level. For all DSD dives in the open water the maximum depth is 12 meters.

For certified divers, PADI Open Water Diver is 18 meters, PADI Advanced Open Water is 30 metres and if you hold the PADI Deep
Diver Specialty qualification then 40 meters.

Other certification agencies depths will be applied to the PADI system.

Depths are strictly followed and we do not go beyond them.

There is no restriction on diving after a flight, so you could dive after landing at Virac airport in the morning.

No diving should be done 24 hours before your flight. So for example if you are flying on Friday morning at 6.30 am, then the last dive should before 6.30 am on Thursday morning. In effect Wednesday would be the last day for diving.

Payment can be made in cash only, local currency of Philippines Peso.

Full payment must be made at least 24 hours before any dive trip. Reservations can be made any time in advance but will not be confirmed until payment is made. If payment is not made 24 hours before the dive trip then your reservation will be cancelled to allow reallocation of your spot.

For all dive courses the payment requirements are the same, with the exception for course materials such as online learning and our Flexi dive courses. Please ask us for more details on this.

We also have a cancellation policy, covered in our terms and conditions. This provides you with protection in case of cancellation of dive trips/courses by us and covers your liability if you cancel.

Timings will vary according to the tide times. This is especially relevant for boat trips as we try to begin the trip before high tide. As much as possible we prefer to dive in the morning but no dive trips will start after 1200 pm. You will be advised of the times of the trip at the time of booking.

Courses and pool based scuba diving activities can be scheduled for anytime, however during peak periods the pool may be in heavy use by resort guests so we make use of alternatives. Flexibility is applied in these situations.

We use local Banka style boats, owned and operated by the local fishermen whom we have trained in diving activities.

By employing them it gives them a better source of income and helps them to improve their quality of life. We believe that tourism should benefit as many as possible, so by employing them direct more money goes into the local economy. Using local style boats also adds to your
diving experience

We also employ them as their knowledge of the seas is outstanding; they know the best places to dive to see fish…and if they
are not fishing then that’s more marine life for divers to see. A win win situation for all.

All dive equipment, refreshments and food is included so you don’t need to bring much on the boat. Obviously a camera for photographing the majestic scenery, perhaps a personal music player, sunglasses, sun cream and a hat. And of course swim wear.

We also recommend bringing some small money as a ‘tip’ for the boat crew doing a wonderful job, if you think they have. They will love you for it!

We also advise you to bring a towel and some dry clothing to change into after the dive trip. These will be left in the transport vehicle, ready for you to get changed into before transferring back to the resort.

No. Most of the sites have very little current because we time the dives to go at the optimum time. You will have an experienced dive guide who will make things as easy as possible.

100% NO.

We do not allow any spear or other types of fishing during any of our dive activities. No exception.

We advocate a policy of passive interaction with all marine life.

We take only pictures and memories and leave only bubbles.

Actually, one thing we do take is all our trash including cigarette butts.

Simple answer is no, we do not refill third party tanks. We fill our tanks only.

There are numerous reasons why we don’t fill others tanks, all relating to safety and legal liability issues.

We would only consider filling tanks for use by a dive professional if a number of criteria is met.

During tide movement from high to low tide, there is a strong current, akin to a rip tide that will pull unsuspecting divers/swimmers out beyond the reefs and make re-entering the bay extremely arduous.

Dives are timed to avoid this period, making it accessible to all levels of diver. HOWEVER. These dives are designated for Advanced Open Water Certification with a minimum of 20 logged dives, for safety and caution reasons. We do not make exceptions to this safety rule.
